Try these 4 checks first
- Check the power: the breaker in your DB box and the isolator next to the aircon.
- Check the remote: fresh batteries, Cool mode, 24–25°C.
- Clean the filters: a dirty filter causes leaks, weak cooling, ice and smells.
- Check the outdoor unit: nothing blocking it, and the fan spins when the aircon is on.

How much does aircon troubleshooting cost?
At JL Aircond, on-site troubleshooting is $80 for a split system and $110 for VRV/VRF, before GST. The fee is waived if you book the service.
Do you service all aircon brands?
Yes. We work on all major aircon brands for HDB, condo, landed and commercial units.
How can I prevent most aircon problems?
Wash the filters every few weeks and service the aircon regularly. Our quarterly contract covers 4 services a year.
